Help Support Ukraine - Sunflower Planting Fundraiser

5/3/2022 9:26 am

Please consider assisting the PTA in raising funds to support humanitarian efforts in Ukraine by donating $5 for each of your BES students. The $5 donation will go to an organization called the Sunflower of Peace. In return for your $5 donation, we would like to take few minutes out of your child’s recess time to plant sunflowers in front of our school during the week of May 23rd. We hope that you will consider helping Ukraine in such a sun filled way, being that a sunflower is its national flower!

Volunteers Needed for the BES Art Show

5/3/2022 9:09 am

Please consider volunteering to help with BES Art Show, which will take place from June 8 - 17, at Branchville Elementary. BES Art Show is open to parents this year, and is a great opportunity for all the parents to admire our children's creations this academic year! Your help with matting and hanging numerous works of art is greatly appreciated, considering what a mammoth task it is to organize over 700 masterpieces for the show!

Assistance is needed before AND after the Art Show but not during so you will still have a chance to enjoy all of the students' work the night we welcome parents to our school!

Please review the available time slots by clicking the link below and signing up for as many spots as you would like.

BES ART SHOW SIGN UP

Once you have signed up, please visit the art room upon your arrival at the school where, you will find instructions for matting, as well as all the supplies that are needed. If you would like to review matting instructions in advance, please click HERE.

Thank you so much for helping make the BES Art Show a great success!!!

Helen Lester is coming to BES!

Helen Lester, a beloved children’s books author, is coming to Branchville Elementary!

BES PTA is excited to announce that Helen Lester, a beloved children’s books author, is coming to Branchville Elementary on May 24!

Helen has written numerous children’s books, however, she is most known for her series of books about Tacky the Penguin, which brought joy to young children, and taught them valuable lessons about the struggles of fitting in. Helen Lester is a wonderful presenter that engages children with her presentations, and encourages them to read, as well as trying their hand in writing books of their own.

If you would like to preorder Helen Lester’s books, which can be ordered with a personalized autograph to be presented to your child on the day of the visit, you can visit the following link and follow the instructions.
