Volunteer Thank You Social
4/28/2023 10:50 am
The staff at BES is grateful for all of the support volunteers have extended to our school community. You truly embody what it means when we say, "educating everyone takes everyone."
We want to show our appreciation for the hours you have dedicated to our school. Whether you were a classroom volunteer, a library volunteer, helped with the school musical, ran a station at field day, or any other role, we want to say thank you.
The Parent Volunteer gathering will take place after school in the Library Courtyard on Thursday, May 18th from 3:30-5:00.
So that we may focus our gratitude and conversations on you, we ask that this be a parent-only event. Childcare will be provided by BES Staff (See sign up). Whether you can come for the whole hour or can drop in for just a few minutes we hope you will stop in!

What makes us who we are? In this activity, you will share all of the things that you think help make you the very unique and special person that you are and how those things came to be. This is an opportunity to share your story! Were you born during an earthquake, far away, or in a car?! What is your family like? Do you have any special traditions or aspects of your culture that are important to you? You can share all this and more in your presentation.
Below you will find a preview of the topics you are signing up to explore. We hope that you will choose at least two of these things, but you can do as many as you’d like to fill up your trifold story board or even make up your own! After you register, you will receive more detailed descriptions!
Part 1: Family Tree
Part 2: Interview
Part 3: Food (Please note that we cannot allow actual food, but you can cook a special dish at home and include photos and recipes in your presentation)
Part 4: Traditions and Games
Part 5: Map
Part 6: Special Items
