Get Involved, Get Connected

One of the greatest strengths of the BES PTA is our dedicated and involved parent volunteers. Without your efforts, our success wouldn't be possible.  Whether you serve on a standing committee, or help out one time at a class party, every contribution of time is valuable.  There are many ways for parents and community members to get involved!  Please contact us if you would like to give us some time!

Read below to see where we need help! If you're interested, or have any questions, email us at board@branchvillepta.org

You can also watch a video message here which describes each position in more detail!

Art Room Volunteers and Support: Help coordinate volunteers for the art room and special art events.

BES Spring Gala: Help plan BES’ adults-only party night that happens only every-other year! This is a super fun event, but also a very important fundraiser for us, so we need as many hands as possible!

Beaver Boogie:  Be part of planning the only child-driven school fundraiser or volunteer to help during the event, which will be held after school on a Friday in October.  This is a beloved Branchville tradition and it is always in need of hands to help plan and execute!

Beaver Bucks: Be on the committee who organizes gift cards options and communicates to BES families the purchase options, while also supporting local businesses!

Book Fair: Volunteer to help plan and run the Scholastic Book Fair, held in October.

Box Tops: Be the coordinator for box tops submissions.  This is a great behind the scenes opportunity for parents who work during the day and can’t volunteer as much in school.

Branchville Writes: Be the PTA contact for helping plan the Bi- Annual writing event (Fall and Spring)

Compassion and Diversity Committee: Be part of the committee that looks to make BES the most inclusive, compassionate school it can be.  This committee also contains a few sub-committees who plan specific events and projects throughout the year, and new voices are always welcome!

Concert Thank-you: Plan teacher gifts for 4th and 5th grade winter and spring concerts.

Field Day: Be on the committee who plans the Field Day which occurs at the end of the year.

Garden: Volunteer to organize planting and maintaining the school gardens - both the curbside beds and the edible garden through the school year and summer.

Guest Author: Help the librarian select and plan for annual guest author visit.

Take Apart Night and Invention Convention: Be on the committee that  plans and executes these STEM-based BES family nights.
